The Beginning After The End is a popular fantasy series created by TurtleMe. The story combines reincarnation, magic, adventure, powerful characters, and emotional drama into a world filled with dangerous creatures and powerful kingdoms. Originally released as a web novel, the series later expanded into a webcomic and an anime adaptation, attracting fans from around the world.
What Is The Beginning After The End About?
The story follows King Grey, a powerful ruler who has reached the highest level of strength and authority in his previous life. Despite his achievements, his life is marked by loneliness and a lack of meaningful relationships.
After his death, Grey is unexpectedly reincarnated in another world as Arthur Leywin. Unlike his previous life, Arthur is born into a loving family and gets the opportunity to experience childhood again.
Arthur soon discovers that his new world, known as Dicathen, is filled with magic and dangerous creatures. Using his memories, intelligence, and previous experience, he begins training his body and magical abilities.
As Arthur grows older, his peaceful childhood gradually turns into a much larger adventure involving kingdoms, powerful mages, ancient forces, and conflicts that threaten the entire world.
Arthur Leywin
Arthur Leywin is the central protagonist of The Beginning After The End. As the reincarnation of King Grey, Arthur possesses knowledge and experience far beyond his apparent age.
His journey is not simply about becoming stronger. Arthur also has to learn how to build relationships, protect the people he loves, and deal with the consequences of his decisions.
Throughout the story, his abilities continue to evolve as he encounters increasingly powerful enemies and discovers more about the mysterious world around him.
Important Characters
The series features a large cast of characters who play important roles in Arthur’s journey.
Alice Leywin
Alice is Arthur’s mother and one of the most important people in his life. Her caring personality gives Arthur something he never truly had in his previous life: a loving family.
Reynolds Leywin
Reynolds is Arthur’s father. He is a warrior who provides Arthur with guidance and support while also helping him understand the importance of family.
Elijah Knight
Elijah is one of Arthur’s close friends. His friendship with Arthur becomes an important part of the story, particularly as the larger conflicts surrounding Dicathen begin to develop.
Tessia Eralith
Tessia is an important character in Arthur’s life and comes from the Elven Kingdom. Her relationship with Arthur develops throughout the story, while her own experiences and responsibilities become increasingly important.
Virion Eralith
Virion is an experienced elf and a major figure in the political and military events of the story. His knowledge and experience make him an important ally for Arthur and the people of Dicathen.
The World of Dicathen
One of the biggest attractions of The Beginning After The End is its world-building. Dicathen contains different races, kingdoms, magical creatures, and political powers.
Humans, elves, and dwarves all have their own cultures and territories. Magic is also deeply connected to the world, with characters developing different abilities and fighting styles.
As the story progresses, readers discover that the conflicts affecting Dicathen are connected to forces much larger than the kingdoms initially presented.
Magic and Power System
Magic plays a major role in The Beginning After The End. Characters can develop different magical abilities and use various elemental powers.
Arthur’s natural talent, training, and previous-life knowledge allow him to progress rapidly. However, his journey demonstrates that raw power alone is not enough. Strategy, experience, discipline, and understanding of one’s abilities are equally important.
The power system becomes increasingly complex as Arthur learns more about the deeper forces influencing the world.
The Anime Adaptation
The popularity of The Beginning After The End eventually led to an anime adaptation, bringing Arthur Leywin’s story to a new audience.
The anime introduces viewers to Arthur’s reincarnation, his family, his early development, and the magical world of Dicathen. It provides a visual version of the story while introducing important characters and major elements of the setting.
For viewers who discover the franchise through the anime, the webcomic and original novel offer additional material and a much broader look at Arthur’s journey.
Webcomic and Original Novel
Before its anime adaptation, The Beginning After The End had already developed a strong following through its web novel and webcomic.
The original novel provides the most detailed version of the story, while the webcomic presents the events in a visual format. Each version offers fans a different way to experience Arthur’s journey.
Readers who enjoy the anime can explore the other formats to learn more about the characters, world, and events that extend beyond the animated adaptation.
